This is a nicely written paper about a new project, which started at the beginning of this month, to develop software to assist people with licensing issues using methods from artificial intelligence and the Semantic Web, including a rule-base inference engine.

The only reasons for a "weak accept", rather a stronger recommendation are:

  1. The project does not yet have any results, since it just started.
  2. The goals of the project, and the methods to be applied, do not appear to go beyond what has been achieved in prior projects on the same topic, in particular the MARKOS license analyser (see below), which was also presented at a previous IRIS conference.  Thus it is not clear how the project hopes to advance the state-of-the-art.
